We built this for the moment the noise stops.
At some point, modern life got very good at filling every gap. The commute. The notifications. The to-do list that resets itself every morning like it's personal. The Sunday that somehow became an extension of Monday. The low-level hum of things that need doing, replying to, deciding on, always there, always adding up.
Nobody planned it this way. It just happened. And then one day you drove somewhere quiet, got out of the car, and felt your shoulders drop three inches. The week fell away. The inbox stopped mattering. You looked up at something, a sky, a treeline, a view that shouldn't work as well as it does, and remembered what it felt like to actually be somewhere.
That moment is the whole point. Not the gear. Not the adventure. Not conquering anything. Just the moment you properly stop and the noise goes quiet and you're actually here, in a field, with nowhere else to be.
We wanted more of those moments. We just kept running into the same problem: getting there required more effort than it should. The tent that took 40 minutes and one argument. The airbed that deflated overnight without apology. The morning you woke up cold and damp and wondered what you were trying to prove.
There's a better version of this. Where the car is packed in an hour and the tent is up before the kettle boils. Where you sleep in a proper bed, off the ground, and wake up wanting to do it again next weekend. That's what we built.
What we believe
Faff is the enemy.
A few things we're quite stubborn about.
Faff is the enemy
If getting away feels like admin, you'll do it less. So we design everything to go up fast, fold down faster, and fit your actual car. Pack the car. That's it.
Comfort is not a compromise
Roughing it is overrated. A proper mattress, blackout fabric and a dry, warm bed aren't luxuries. They're the reason you'll go again next weekend.
Adventure should be ordinary
You don't need a Land Rover, a beard, or a fortnight off. You need a normal car and a free Saturday. Getting away shouldn't feel like a military operation.
Honesty over hype
Our tents are genuinely good, so we don't need to shout. We'll tell you what they do, what they weigh, and what they won't do. No magic. Just kit that works.

A cheeky weekend away with Betty...
...or Bertha or Maggie or Millie. You decide.
Bertha. Maggie. Betty. Millie. It started as a laugh. Someone in the team said "she needs a name" and suddenly a rooftop tent had a personality, a character, and an opinion about where she was going this weekend. Turns out that's exactly right.
Because nobody books a cheeky weekend away with the HardShell Pro 4000. Nobody texts their mate "just got Bertha on the roof, leaving Friday, you in?" and gets a no.
These are tents you'll talk about like they're part of the family. The one that went to Scotland in November and didn't flinch. The one that's been on every car you've owned. The one that made your kids stop complaining approximately thirty seconds after arrival. One of them is yours. You'll know her when you meet her.
Genuinely good kit
Built properly. Not just badged that way.
We're honest to a fault, so here's the boring-but-important bit.
Stabilus struts, 45,000 cycles
German-made Stabilus gas struts rated to 45,000 open-and-close cycles. A lot of competitors fit struts rated nearer 15,000. Open your tent every weekend for twenty years and you'd still have headroom. We'd rather over-engineer it once than hear from you about it later.
YKK zips and taped seams
YKK zips are the ones that don't jam at midnight in the rain. Silicone-taped seams are the ones that don't leak by October. The small parts you only notice when a cheaper brand got them wrong.
UV50+ blackout fabric
Sun off your face, light out of your eyes, and a darker, cooler tent. A proper lie-in is finally on the cards.
Comfort duo-layer mattress
A duo-layer mattress that means you wake up feeling refreshed.

Run by two guys that love getting away from the screen and into nature
Behind Lofti are two people who know firsthand what it feels like when the signal drops, the shoulders drop, and you remember what quiet actually sounds like. Matt and Paul built this because they wanted more of that. And they figured if they were going to build something, it should be genuinely good — not just good enough.
The reassuring small print.
